Each year, Talent Board identifies a select number of organizations to receive a Candidate Experience (CandE) Award. One of the most prestigious awards in talent acquisition, this year’s CandE Awards recognize 65 major companies that were found to provide thousands of job seekers with an exemplary experience, as rated by the candidates themselves.

More than 170 companies registered to participate in the 2019 awards program, which ultimately collected the thoughts and experiences of more than 195,000 job candidates. Award winners represent a range of company sizes and industries, from manufacturing, insurance, consumer products and more.

What makes candidate experience so important?

Talent Board co-founder Gerry Crispin says it’s all about positive outcomes for both the employee and the employer.

“The Candidate Experience Awards research has proven that positive candidate experiences lead to positive hiring outcomes, which often have positive business Implications.”
— Gerry Crispin, Talent Board co-founder

Employer branding expert, James Ellis, adds that a great candidate experience is about giving job seekers a positive, honest look at what life is like at your company:

“When someone is thinking about working for your company, every little detail creates a picture: every handshake, every wallpaper, every email signature, every interaction, every website, every job posting — everything matters, and can be the difference between a candidate working for you or moving on to someone else.”
— James Ellis

The CandE Awards measure candidate experience by how likely job seekers are to refer an employer to other candidates, how likely they are to apply again, and more. Congratulations to all of our Yello partners who were named a 2019 CandE Award winner!
